Tsangaya || If Gold Begin To Rust, What Will an Iron Do? - By Fahad Mashi

Sambo Dasuki's arms scandal has shown how prevalent and ubiquitous corruption is in this country, and it also made it clear that it's the whole institution that became corrupted not only few individuals.

Therefore, the onus of ridding an institution of corruption is beyond the ability of two agencies, all stakeholders in sensitisation of society must come in.

Stakeholders ko ? then who are the stakeholders ?

PARENTS ? Many of them are no longer indoctrinating the idea of humanity in the mind of their children, all what they are inculcating is Capitalism, extreme materialism and cupidity.

CLERICS ? Mhmm! Their mind is not on how to purify the society, they're engrossed in struggle for supremacy, casting of aspersions and vituperations on one another; and preaching the gospel of hatred and animosity.

ELITES ? Whenever they stand on the podium, their radicalism vanish, all they spew out is regionalism, tribal bigotry and religious chauvinism to divert the attention of the commoners from their stealing.

ROYAL FATHERS ? Tab! They sometimes seem to be more corrupt than the politicians..... I can go on and on....

In a nutshell, we can't reform an institution when its stakeholders are wallowing in the ocean of the mistakes we are trying to rectify.

If gold begins to rust, what will iron do ?
