OPINION. || SAHARA REPORTER'S INTENTION WAS TO CREATE FEAR & TENSION - By AbdulAzeez Mantu

SAHARA REPORT AND THE FUELING OF CRISIS AT FEDERAL UNIVERSITY DUTSINMA.

Media propaganda is no longer a new phenomenon. It is now an acceptable norms and culture for Nigerian media to propagate, fabricate and cook fake news that are well spice by rumours and lies from unreliable source.

The media through faking of news and feeding concern citizens with bunches of lies have suceeded in creating more tensions and crisis between and among the diverse ethnic and religious groups that make up the Nigerian state. Instead of ameliorating and settling the differences between conflicting groups, the media prefer adding more salt to the fresh wound by either exagerating the nature of the conflict or through casting and reporting of fake news to the general public in the name of media propaganda.

I am yet to get myself back from the shock that came as a result of the fabrications of lies and faking of news that emanated from a peace hating and unity breaker media reporters known as Sahara Report. Even when it is crystal clear that there exist a peaceful co-existence beween and among muslims and christians both staff and students at Federal University Dutsinma, the so called peace hating Sahara Reporters tag the little misunderstanding within the school as crisis between muslims and christians students.

Their intention was to create fears and increase tensions in the mind of both the students and their gurdians at home in order to fuel the little misunderstanding. Peacing hating Sahara Reporters intend to escalate the little misunderstanding in the school but did not suceed. They only suceeded in feeding the general public with fabricated lies and also attempt to tarnish the school image.

Federal University Dutsinma must hasten up and press charge against this peace hating Sahara Reporters and also claim damages. They must not go scout free without been punish.
