When this government came into power in 2015 we all have a positive conviction that the insecurity will be decisively dealt with within shortest period of time, but as time goes on it appears to be a normal campaign promised used by politicians just to win an election because the country lacked the adequate security personnel required to fight insecurity in the country.
Many professionals, security experts and technocrats have called on the FG to overhaul the country's security architecture, but the government hasn't done anything other than insisted on the fight against the insecurity with the inadequate security at it's disposal.
Nigeria as a country with about 200 million population has only 371,800 police, having a police to citizens ratio of (1:539) which is below the UN recommended police to citizens ratio of (1:450). This has shown that 1 police officer in nigeria is expected to protect 539 citizen, and it has further shows the fight against the insecurity in Nigeria is just SILLY because the country is yet to meet the minimum police required to secure the country.
Today If you want to report any suspicious activity to the police, or call for help in case of emergency you have to go to the police by yourself because the means of communication between the citizens and the security is very poor.
THE FIGHT IS JUST SILLY!
